Art lovers will have the opportunity to contemplate artworks by Polish landscape painter Franciszek Ryszard Mazurek when an exhibit of his pieces opens in Ha Noi next Thursday.
Organised by the Embassy of Poland, the exhibition will showcase 44 of Mazurek’s oil-on-canvas paintings featuring the magnificent beauty of the Lublin region in East Poland.
A graduate in fine arts from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, the 60-year-old painter has held more than 30 solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions in Poland, Ukraine, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates, Moldavia, Romania and Belgium.
With a classic style, Mazurek’s paintings present an awareness of the irreversible change in nature’s rhythm and in civilisation.
They preserve and hold on to the characteristics of a particular place in an ever changing landscape.
In 2005, Mazurek was granted the Distinguished for Polish Culture medal by the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage. He also received the Gold Cross of Merit from the President of Poland in the same year.
The exhibit will be open on October 20-26 at the Exhibition House, 29 Hang Bai Street, Ha Noi.
